This is the second year I have been invited to the UK to speak at a ladies' retreat. The first time, I turned down the offer immediately, thinking there was no way I could raise enough money to travel to and from. When I was asked this year, I nearly did the same, but the Lord dealt with me about practicing the very thing I write about day after day—taking a step of faith and trusting Him to provide for my needs. So, after much prayer, I accepted the invitation. The group to which I will be speaking is a small group and cannot provide travel expenses, which I completely understand. I aim to raise enough money to purchase passports, plane tickets, car rental, fuel, food, books (plus the cost to transport/ship the books to the UK), and any other expenses we may incur while we're there.)
I am hoping to share with these ladies many of the glorious truths that God has shown me through my studies in the Bible. My prayer is if there are those who are unsaved, they will come to know Christ, and if there are those who are weary or discouraged, they will find peace and encouragement in something that is said during the meeting.
While in the UK, we will be staying and working with a missionary family in Wales. I'm not sure what they have in store for us, but I am looking forward to witnessing the good work that they are doing and perhaps even being an encouragement to them as well.
If enough money comes in, I would love to have a couple of days to do some sightseeing and to tour the castles in the area as part of my research for a new book series set in medieval times . Having never been to the UK, I would be thrilled to have the opportunity to take in some of the sights while there if there's time.
Thank you for taking the time to find out more about my upcoming trip to the UK. If you can support me in this endeavor, I would greatly appreciate it. If you do not have the funds, I ask that you please remember me in prayer and please pass on this information to your friends and family. You can even tell your enemies. Like I said, every little bit helps!
God bless you, and thank you in advance for your kindness and support!
